The ADA held its first bespoke health and safety course on Saturday 3rd June in central London and the feedback from the delegates was overwhelmingly positive with average scores of 4.9 / 5 across all areas covered.
This 1-day course was the first to be specifically directed at Assistant Directors and the critical role they play in keeping everyone safe on set and led to delegates receiving their Production Safety Passport, which is valid for 5 years and the only industry-led scheme recognising health and safety training in the film and TV sectors.
Our bespoke content covered the essentials that every Assistant Director needs to know from Prep, Rehearsal and Shoot to Wrap, including accident causation, the law, putting safe management into practice and vital case studies from recent events on set.
It also gave our AD delegates the chance to air and share their views and experiences on set and receive expert advice.
We will be holding more health & safety courses later in the year. For latest information, visit our ADA Facebook page…
